Douglas Fir Oregan Pine The Douglas Fir or Oregon Pine is a softwood originating from the American West. It has a welcoming, veined appearance and its excellent stability and durability make it a wood that has multiple uses. Furthermore, its low rates of shrinkage make for a wonderful constancy of finishes. Oregon Pine made its way to Europe from North America at the turn of the 19th century for the construction of Victorian mills, schools and hospitals. We salvage only well-seasoned Oregon Pine around 100 years old which has a golden plush colour. |
